This is an independently audited certification that guarantees among other things,there is no child or indentured labour in the manufacture of their products. The manufacture of this product also helps support the local SOS Children’s Village in Kerala, paying for the care and upkeep of at least a dozen orphaned and abused children.

These beautifully hand-painted rainsticks are made from a single branch taken from a sustainable forest in Ecuador. Their name is descriptive of the soothing rain-like sound they produce when turned upside down.

Each of our rainsticks is handpainted with individual colours and designs.

We sourced this item direct from Otavalo in Ecuador through a company called Latin Colours. The artisans are known personally to us and we ensure they have suitable pay and working conditions.

This fairtrade pendant necklace is supplied by Nomads Clothing, a highly ethical company who buy from established manufacturers in India, accept the price requested and pay in advance to enable suppliers to pay their workers on time without borrowing money. Profits from the jewellery go straight to the primary source and are not gained by middle men or contractors. The factories are personally inspected on a regular basis and all employees are paid fairly for their work.
