Gloves & Wrist Warmers

Gloves & Wrist Warmers

Our gloves and wrist warmers are supplied by Pachamama. The company takes its name from Quechua, the ancient language of the Incas. It means Earth Mother. They have always worked hard to maintain fair trade working standards

They supply goods from both the Andean Mountains of South America in Ecuador and Nepal. In both countries the majority of the knitters are home-workers who are village based, so that they can produce their garments around commitments to their fields and families. This enables them to supplement their income from farming.

Pachamama also employ a small number of people in both Ecuador and Nepal in a family-run factory environment to hand finish and pack their garments. They ensure that the people working for them work in excellent conditions and receive benefits and pay above the local standards.

Pachamama also give 10% of their profit on all sales to Net4Kids, an international charity working in Nepal who work to give underprivileged children a better start in life.
